Driven by challenge, passionate about technology, and always ready to learn something new
My Story
I'm someone who throws myself completely into whatever catches my interest. Whether it's building over
1,000 computers at my last job, teaching French staff in Metz how to build PCs
despite the language barrier, or setting up my own homeserver that now hosts 20+ services for paying customers
- I dive deep into everything I do.
What drives me most is challenge. I love pushing myself to get good at things and then being
able to showcase that skill. It's not about competing with others necessarily, but about that personal satisfaction
of mastering something new. This mindset led me from small work automation scripts to building full-stack
applications like "Discardpile" - a card collection management app that taught me more about development
than any course could.
I'm incredibly social and love being around people. Even if we're just existing in the same space doing our
own things, I genuinely enjoy company. Family is huge for me - I'm very family-oriented and value those close
relationships above everything else.
Currently, I'm exploring paths into cybersecurity, development, or
DevOps. My homeserver project has become a real business - I'm hosting Minecraft servers
for friends and family who actually pay me for the service, plus running my own media server. It's amazing
how hobbies can turn into something more.
What I'm Passionate About
🎵 Music
I play 7 instruments! Guitar and piano are my main ones, but I used to be heavily into clarinet. Music has always been my creative outlet.
💻 Technology
From building PCs to managing servers, I love understanding how technology works and pushing it to do new things.
🏗️ Making Stuff
Whether it's code, hardware setups, or creative projects - I get absorbed for months when I find something I like.
🖥️ Server Management
My homeserver runs 20+ services and serves paying customers. It's taught me Docker, networking, and business skills.
The Discardpile Journey
My biggest learning experience was building "Discardpile" with my friend Luke. It was a web app for managing
trading card collections - you'd take photos of cards, enter the name, and it would auto-fill all the details
like release year and pack information. I handled the frontend, backend, API integration, server management,
networking, and DNS through Cloudflare while Luke built the database structure and functions.
The project taught me more than any tutorial could. We spent 5 months building something genuinely useful,
even though it eventually fell flat when we couldn't follow through with the ebay integration. But that's how I learn
best - by diving in completely and figuring things out as I go.
